People hear our name and sometimes pause on it. Different, Not Broken. It sounds like a correction — and that's exactly the point.
So much of the world is built to make people who don't fit a mold feel like there's something to fix. We wanted to make the opposite case, out loud, on a t-shirt you can wear to the grocery store: being different was never a flaw. It's the whole point.
Where the name comes from
We started Different, Not Broken on one simple belief — there is nothing wrong with you. Not your identity, not who you love, not the parts of yourself you were once told to hide. The world can be hard on people who stand out. But standing out is not the same as being broken.
Every piece we make is designed to be worn like a quiet act of courage: a reminder that you belong, that you're seen, and that your life matters.
What we actually make
Apparel, accessories, and gifts for everyone who's ever been made to feel like too much — or not enough. The fit is relaxed and unisex. The fabric is soft and built to be your go-to. And the message is the kind you can stand tall in.
Why it's bigger than clothes
We donate 10% of every sale to The Trevor Project, the leading suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ+ young people. The more our community grows, the more we get to give back. (We're an independent supporter of The Trevor Project — not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by them.)
If you've ever needed to hear it: you are not broken. You never were.
